REIDsteel design and make industrial buildings, wide span aircraft hangars (and their electro-mechanical doors) for the biggest aircraft flying today, warehouses, bus stations, sports stadia, supermarket structures, hurricane and earthquake resistant housing frames, multi-storey buildings for hotels, offices and car parks, military defensive structures, small road bridges, sports halls, cold store structures and many others. REIDsteel automatically shot-blast their steel to a high standard before it goes to one of seven fabrication shops. It is spray painted after fabrication with zinc phosphate primer. REIDsteel can also offer hot dip galvanising at moderate cost.
Reid are members of the British Constructional Steelwork Association and have submitted to their Capability & Capacity Audit which, amongst other things, takes account of assets, plants, skills, experience, turnover, financial status, contract references, product and public liability insurances etc. Because of their versatility they hold an 'A1' rating (the highest) which confirms their competence to design and make every form of structural steelwork, from light structures to the largest aircraft hangars and heaviest industrial plant, as well as bridges.
REIDsteel's welders are certificated to British Standards and DIN Standards and Reid hold a Welding Operator Test Certificate for large structures from SLV of Berlin (Welding Test Institute).
