CES Holdings

CES Holdings, an associated company of London Scottish Bank Plc, is a company concerned solely with the export of educational material, both books and equipment, to overseas schools, governments and trading organisations. With customers in some 90 countries, CES aims to reduce costs for their customers through consolidation, purchasing power and streamlining the purchasing process. In effect we are a point of 'one-stop shopping' for our customers.

There are two distinct areas of operation within the company. First is the general supply of books and equipment packed and invoiced according to the customer's own specification. Second is project work: here CES Holdings will become involved in the refurbishment of schools or the development from scratch of new school premises. Typically this ranges from the supply of all the furniture needs to the more specialist areas such as laboratories, theatres, canteens, libraries and gymnasia. We can recommend architects and/or educational advisers for curricula if such expertise is needed.

CES Holdings is now also able to offer American goods through their relationship with School Specialty in the United States. School Specialty is the largest educational supplier in the world and- with this addition to our portfolio- increases our appeal within the international education marketplace. With access to the best that the UK and US can offer at competitive prices, CES Holdings has a firm base to supply the Iraqi market in the most effective manner possible. Because of currency fluctuations all purchases of material from the US are billed in US dollars.

Supply and management of furniture, fittings and equipment for universities, schools and other educational institutions is going to be an important part of the re-building of Iraq over the next few years. CES Holdings looks forward to being part of that process.
