What we do
Through our training and support services, we prepare people mentally and practically for work in extreme conditions, assisting with safer practices that minimise risks during commercial activities.
Our team of high-calibre professional instructors are specialists in confronting dangerous situations at home and abroad. They draw on knowledge gained during hundreds of man-years' experience as instructors with Britain's Royal Marine Commandos and other Special Forces units. In addition to their military service, they also hold civilian instructor and assessor qualifications.
The company’s flagship training course, the Hostile Environments and Emergency First Aid (HEFAT) Course, aims to help participants protect themselves and their colleagues more effectively in volatile areas by identifying danger warning signs, and learning how to prepare risk assessments that minimise their exposure to danger as part of a regular safety routine.
What is a hostile environment?
A hostile environment can be anywhere where there is a threat to personal safety or security. War zones are obvious examples, but other examples are:
- Harsh climatic conditions
- Extreme poverty
- High crime
- Poor health and hygiene
- Unfriendly governments or regimes
- Natural or man-made disasters
- Civil, military or political unrest
- Religious fanaticism
- Terrorist activity
- Inhospitable terrain
We are committed to providing innovative risk assessment and training solutions of the highest standard that are practical, relevant and based on recent experience that are tailored to our clients’ needs.
All our training is practical, relevant and up-to-date, using high calibre instructors who present interesting, stimulating and thought-provoking subjects in innovative ways, with as much learning as possible portrayed through hands-on practical field work.
We believe in providing the same high quality service for all our customers, regardless of a client's size or available budget, and continually strive to adapt our training and services to our clients’ changing needs.
Where we are located
We have a residential training venue an hour from Heathrow airport/Central London (near Reading) and another an hour from Washington DC. Our training is portable, and can be adapted to be conducted anywhere in the world.
